E.Braun & Co. Moves to Park Avenue

Considered a "jewel box" on Madison Avenue for more than 65 years, the fine linen brand finally moves its store several blocks southeast to 484 Park Avenue between 58th and 59th Streets. The new store has nearly three times more floor space than before. The simple yet elegant interior design in bright white maximizes a sense of spaciousness with custom-made chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling. The relocation of the store represents the owners' renewed commitment for the luxury brand and its future. Littlefield has been providing creative services for E.Braun for the last 15 years.

'Fathead' Remembered

David 'Fathead' Newman, a jazz saxophonist
who died just this past January, was remembered at a memorial service and concert
held at St.Peter's Church in New York City on March 9. Attended by many of his
peer jazz musicians, including Lou Donaldson, Joe Lavano, David Sanborn, Randy
Brecker, Cedar Walton, Jimmy Cobb and Dr. John, the soft-spoken, sweet-toned
horn player, who had made his name in Ray Charles' band from the 1950s to the
70s, was celebrated for his life, his heart, and his enduring music.
Littlefield
was pleased to have designed most of Mr. Newman's CDs over the past decade including "Chillin'" (HighNote
HCD-7036), which was the first CD we ever designed for the HighNote label. We
have since overseen the design of nearly 100 CDs for the label and are currently
working on Mr. Newman's last CD, "The Blessing" (HCD-7195) recorded
in December 2008 just before his passing.
